This really lights up the rear trunk and is a major improvement on the tiny useless factory light. It also looks very cool when you open the hatch. Installation following the video instructions was quite easy - removing the existing light took some figuring out and the provided tool was not useful. Most annoying, the light is too long and needs to be cut. This is not shown in the video and there are no instructions about if you can cut it or how to cut it. You can cut it with kitchen scissors just fine, but do it carefully and replace the end cap.

No installation instructions at all but I found a short video on YouTube showing how it’s done. Unfortunately, the light strip is about 15cm too long for the Volvo ex30. I was able to tuck the extra length into the plastic around the boot. Works well.

I’m geeking out here. It was somewhat easy to install. I did have a defective part but when I contacted someone via chat, a new part was quickly delivered to me and it worked. The light was too long and after confirming with someone on chat again, I just had to cut it (after powering down). I smile every time I open the trunk :)

Relatively fast delivery to France and very happy with the product. - I recommend!
Bought the full circle white light as I always have the cover on and was concerned the half circle wouldn't be sufficient (now wondering if doing the bottom half would have worked).
Only downside was I was missing the QR code for installation but found the video on YouTube which helped immensely.
Only difficulty was cutting the LED strip (full white light LED is longer than the perimeter of the boot) where for some reason I lost 2 LEDs at the end (advise is to do a test cut at a longer length). This isn't an issue as such as it's now put in a way that is hidden by the tonneau cover.
Again very happy with the product, I'm hoping the longevity is as good as the current experience.
